Hair spray is a substance sprayed on the hair to keep it in place. In the past, most hair sprays were charged with an aerosol propellant which contained chlorofluorocarbons. More recently, however, a shift away from using such aerosol products has been made, in light of research which shows that chlorofluorocarbons contribute to ozone depletion.
